facebook show how to run a social networking site without allowing people to be sociable

being a regular enough facebook user i get about 50 friend requests a day on facebook, some days double that, i spend more time on myspace & have over 53,000 contacts on there - i go to answer a bunch of friend requests on facebook today & get this rather annoying message “You have been blocked from adding friends because you repeatedly misused this feature. This block will last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. When you are allowed to reuse this feature, please proceed with caution. Further misuse may result in your account being permanently disabled. For further information, please visit our FAQ page."- so when you get sent so many requests you cannot respond to them? what a stupid way to run a site. i will be contacting them immediately about this. If people send you requests you should be able to respond to them without being accused of spamming or being a spam-bot. utterly ridiculous way to run a so called social networking site.

it should not matter if i have 50 or 50 million friends, if they advertise to be a social networking site they should realise that some people out there have one hell of a social circle & just because they do it doesn’t make them suspicious or guilty of anything other than having an abundance of friends.

I understand more than most the need for security when it comes to protecting people from phising sites & spam-bots but there should be a validation system in place to filter out the genuine users, as if captcha’s wasn’t enough - all my requests I answered went through captcha’s yet it still proceeded to ban me from either accepting or adding any more contacts.
