Koobface virus found on facebook

The virus was found on myspace not too long ago & now its popping up on face book too. What it does is sends you a private message containing a video link which can only be viewed by downloading a new version of the flash update - the update of course is the virus. When the update is downloaded the virus will start to go through your system snatching private information such as credit card information & passwords. Its been reported that face book are tackling the problem by removing any of the links that they find however with so many variants of the virus out there the only real solution is to be vigilant enough to know not to click on the video links. Because face book has such a vast network of people it’s a perfect target for the virus - if you do get a video sent to you through a private message from a contact you do not know & it leads to a site outside of face book then the chances are it is a variant of the virus.
